👨‍🔧 Instructions
1. Turn off the water supply.
Look behind your toilet and turn the valve clockwise to shut off the water.
2. Flush to empty the tank.
Hold down the flush handle to drain as much water as possible.
3. Add the vinegar.
Pour 1 cup of white vinegar directly into the tank. It helps loosen mineral deposits and neutralize odors.
4. Add baking soda.
Sprinkle in 1/2 cup of baking soda. It will fizz and bubble—this reaction helps lift grime and limescale.
5. Let it sit.
Close the lid and leave the mixture to work its magic for 30 minutes. (Now’s a good time to clean the rest of the bathroom!)
6. Scrub gently.
Use a toilet brush or old toothbrush to clean the inside walls of the tank. Focus on any slimy or stained areas.
7. Turn the water back on and flush.
Turn the valve counterclockwise to restore water flow. Flush the toilet a couple of times to rinse the tank and bowl.
✨ Optional: Add Scent
If you want your toilet to smell even fresher, add a few drops of essential oil to the tank after flushing. Just a few drops will do!
